Getting around
Driving is a very good transportation option in Bay Ridges. Nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are very easy to access from any home in this part of Pickering, and it is convenient to find a place to park. However, residents using public transit may have few options in Bay Ridges as a result of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, it is easy to reach a nearby train station, including the Pickering on the Lakeshore East, from most properties in the neighbourhood. There are about 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Cycling is occasionally difficult in this neighbourhood as there are a good number of hills, and there are few bike lanes. Getting around on foot is also not very common in this area, despite the fact that most daily needs are convenient to meet without the use of a car.
