Transportation

The best way to get around in Port Whitby is usually a car. Many properties for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is straightforward to access a parking spot. However, commuting by transit can be difficult in this part of the town by reason of the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, there is the Whitby on the Lakeshore East. Homeowners have access to approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. Port Whitby is not particularly conducive to people who get around on foot as very few daily errands can be run without a car. Despite the fact that the cycling infrastructure is good, this part of Whitby is also not especially cycling-friendly because there are a fair number of slopes.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are straightforward to reach as a pedestrian from any location in Port Whitby. On the other hand, parents and their children may find it very difficult to get to high schools by foot. Regarding eating, a grocery store is usually reachable within a reasonably short distance from any location in this part of the town.
