A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN CONTEXT

Start with how
you spend your day.

Highbush is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. Finally, it is very easy to reach green spaces from most locations in the neighbourhood since there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to visit.

Getting around

The car is usually the best approach to move around in this part of the city. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from any location in Highbush, and accessing a parking spot is generally easy. In contrast, the public transit service in this area is not very frequent. Nonetheless, residents are served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally very close by. Traveling as a pedestrian is not very practical for property owners in this neighbourhood because running daily errands is impractical without a car. On the other hand, cycling is convenient in Highbush.

Everyday essentials

It is occasionally possible for property owners in this part of the city to shop for groceries by foot. Nevertheless, pharmacies are generally easy to access as a pedestrian and provide some staple foods. Residents can enjoy a few restaurants and cafes as well. When it comes to education, parents and their schoolchildren will welcome the proximity to primary schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from vast majority properties for sale in this part of the city. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Highbush.

Local character

Highbush is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. This part of Pickering is very quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, it is very easy to reach green spaces from most locations in the neighbourhood since there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to visit.

Surrounding homes

In Highbush, around two thirds of dwellings are single detached homes, and the remaining dwellings are mainly townhouses. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood happened between 1990 and 2000. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy nearly 90% of the properties in Highbush and the remainder are rented.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 43.831528, -79.141953. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
