Transportation

Cars are a great means of transportation in Long Lake-Linley Valley. It is very convenient to find a parking spot, and it is a rather short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in this part of Nanaimo. On the other hand, commuting by transit can be challenging in this part of the city as a result of the infrequent service. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are not particularly suitable for people who get around as pedestrians as few daily errands can be run without a vehicle. The bicycle is a somewhat poor method of transportation in Long Lake-Linley Valley because there are quite a few elevation changes, and the cycling network is not especially comprehensive.

Services

It is a rather short walk to access primary schools and daycares from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood. However, there are only a limited number of high schools and accordingly they can be an extended trip away. As far as food is concerned, it is frequently practical for home buyers in this part of Nanaimo to buy groceries by foot.
