Getting around
It is convenient to commute by bicycle in Unionville. This part of Markham is also moderately conducive to people who travel on foot; many daily errands can be run without the need to get in a car. Unionville is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, it is easy to come across a nearby rapid transit station, such as Hwy 7 / Bullock, Highway 7 / Village Pkwy and Highway 7 / Warden Av on the Viva Purple, from the greater part of houses in the neighbourhood. Commuters are served by the Unionville with access to the Stouffville. There are about 20 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. In contrast, the car is usually the preferred transportation option in this neighbourhood. Finding a parking spot is generally easy, and it is a rather short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Highway 407, from any location in this neighbourhood.
