Getting around
The best approach to move around in Rockway is very often a car. It is very convenient to come across a parking spot, and many properties for sale are a very short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 7 & 8. However, Rockway is not an especially pleasant part of Kitchener for moving around by public transit. Nevertheless, it is convenient to find a nearby rapid transit station, including Mill Station and Borden Station on the ION Light Rail, from the bulk of houses in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is linked by approximately 10 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually around the corner. Walking is not very popular in Rockway, although many day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a car. Getting around by bicycle is also sometimes difficult in Rockway as the cycling infrastructure is not particularly well-developed, and riding a bike is rendered arduous by the often steep terrain. Thankfully, bicycling is more feasible in some sectors than others, and there is a rather high density of cyclists.
