Getting around

This neighbourhood offers home buyers several alternative modes of transportation. The very good public transit system makes transit a viable option for many as a result of various nearby rapid transit stations on the Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth), and around 10 nearby bus lines. Many of the homes for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are also very suitable for those who like to travel on foot; many common errands can be run without a vehicle, and a variety of businesses are moderately close by. Woodbine Corridor is reasonably conducive to cycling.

Everyday essentials

Families will value the proximity to daycares and schools, which are within walking distance from vast majority homes for sale in Woodbine Corridor. In terms of food, it is usually practical for house buyers in this area to purchase general and specialty groceries by walking. Danforth Avenue is among the best streets for food stores. Likewise, thanks to over 50 restaurants and about 10 coffee shops, Woodbine Corridor is a very good place in which to eat out. It is also straightforward to get to a variety of clothing stores on foot, for instance on Gerrard Street.

Surrounding homes

Roughly one third of dwellings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Woodbine Corridor, and the rest are mainly large apartment buildings, single detached homes, and townhouses. This area is primarily composed of one bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly 60% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. This area experienced its biggest building boom prior to the 1960s, so most of the available properties are from this era.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

Compare neighbourhood context across Toronto ↗ · Explore Toronto new-home projects ↗

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 43.6693788, -79.31194. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
