A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN CONTEXT

Start with how
you spend your day.

Humewood is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the ambience of this part of the city. There are many things to do in this part of the city for those looking for a dynamic vibe. Despite the fact that there is a narrow selection of entertainment venues, there are a very large number of people around most of the time, and with the bars in nearby neighbourhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located very close by. Main streets, such as Oakwood Avenue, are very good for those who enjoy going out. The noise levels in Humewood are very low, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. This area also features a fair amount of greenery as the tree canopy coverage for numerous streets is reasonably good. Reaching public green spaces, like Cedarvale Park, is very easy from many locations within the neighbourhood since there are about 40 of them close by for residents to visit.

Rapid transit stations, including St Clair West Station - Southbound Platform, Eglinton West Station - Southbound Platform and St Clair West Station - Northbound Platform with access to the Line 1 (Yonge-University), are not especially far-removed from the majority of homes in the neighbourhood. There are around 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is typically around the corner. Home buyers who want to live in a compact community will also enjoy the particularly pedestrian-friendly nature of Humewood; running daily errands is very easy without a vehicle, and there are also a fair number of businesses close by. Humewood will appeal to active people as it is rather suited for biking. More specifically, bike-share stations are never more than a few blocks away.

Everyday essentials

Both general and specialty grocery stores are typically accessible within a very short stroll from most properties for sale in this area. St Clair Avenue is among the best streets for food stores. Moreover, thanks to 100-odd restaurants and cafes in Humewood, there is almost always a place to get a meal or beverage just around the corner. It is also a very short stroll to a great variety of clothing stores. With respect to education, daycares and schools are very easy to get to as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in this area.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 43.6802402, -79.4339727. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
