A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN CONTEXT

Start with how
you spend your day.

West End is a 'jack-of-all-trades' when it comes to the feel of this part of Vancouver. West End is quiet, as the streets are quite peaceful. There are a few parks nearby for residents to relax in, such as English Bay Beach Park, which results in them being very easy to access from the majority of locations within this part of Vancouver. Finally, this area has many streets to visit. Despite the fact that there are few nearby entertainment venues, there are crowds of people around most of the time, and with its about 10 nightlife venues, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located very close by.

Getting around

House buyers in West End have various choices to travel without using a car. Active property owners will be pleased with the very pedestrian-friendly nature of this neighbourhood; all daily errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle, and there are also a very large number of businesses nearby. Riding a bike is very embraced in West End because there are a good number of bike lanes, and bike-share stations are seldomly more than a short walk away. With approximately 10 nearby bus lines, travelling by public transit is very easy in this part of Vancouver. On the other hand, getting around by car is challenging in West End as parking is not very easy.

Everyday essentials

Primary as well as high schools are very easy to get to on foot from anywhere in West End. At the secondary level, there are both public and private schools. With regards to food, it is very rarely practical for home buyers in this part of the city to reach one of approximately 30 supermarkets by walking. Nonetheless, pharmacies are generally very easy to get to on foot and provide some staple foods.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 49.2831191, -123.1265844. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
