Getting around

Cars are an excellent transportation option in Belmont. It is especially convenient to find a place to park, and nearby highways are very easy to access from any location in Belmont. In contrast, public transit users may experience very limited options in this part of Calgary by reason of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood. Commuting by bicycle is occasionally difficult in Belmont since there are a good number of slopes, and this area is home to fairly poor cycling infrastructure. This area is also not very conducive to those who like to get around by foot as carrying out day-to-day needs is impractical without a car.

Everyday essentials

Daycares are very easy to access as a pedestrian from most homes for sale in Belmont. However, this area does not have any primary schools or high schools. In terms of food, the closest supermarket in Belmont is usually only a very long stroll away. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who care about close by restaurants and cafes.

Local character

Home buyers who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere will enjoy Belmont. Belmont is quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Parks aren't well-distributed, making it occasionally difficult to access them. Despite that, there are about 20 parks close by for residents to check out.

Surrounding homes

In Belmont, around 70% of buildings are single detached homes, and the remainder are mainly townhouses. This neighbourhood also has a choice of housing size options - notably, this part of the city is good for those looking for three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood and 10% are occupied by renters. This area experienced its largest building boom following the year 2000, so most of the available housing is from this era.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 50.8706734, -114.0625376. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
