A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN CONTEXT

Start with how
you spend your day.

The character of Rural Markham is exemplified by its relaxed environment. This part of the city is quiet overall, as the streets are tranquil - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially around Highway 407, the airport (Markham Airport) or one of the railway lines. Lastly, getting to parks in the neighbourhood, such as Wismer Park and Artisan Trail, is easy, since there are over 100 of them nearby for residents to relax in and most homes for sale have a park very close by.

Getting around

Driving is a very good mode of transportation in Rural Markham. It is convenient to come across a parking spot. In contrast, residents using public transit may have few options in Rural Markham as a result of the low service level. Thankfully, there are around 20 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is generally around the corner. Rural Markham is moderately bicycling-friendly because this neighbourhood features fairly good cycling infrastructure. Walking is not particularly practical for home buyers in this area as few daily needs can be met without a car.

Everyday essentials

Buying one's groceries often requires the use of a car in this area. Nonetheless, it is generally a rather short trip to the nearest pharmacy, which can provide some basic food items. There are also a few options for those who appreciate close by restaurants and cafes. As far as education is concerned, it is a rather short walk to get to primary schools and daycares from most properties for sale in Rural Markham. In contrast, parents may consider it challenging for their children to access high schools on foot.

Surrounding homes

Homeowners occupy around three quarters of the properties in the neighbourhood while renters occupy the remainder. In this neighbourhood, the majority of buildings are single detached homes, while townhouses make up most of the remaining housing stock. This neighbourhood experienced its largest construction boom following the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this time period. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 43.9563196, -79.2278316. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
