Getting around

This part of Clarington is very car friendly. It is very convenient to park. In contrast, commuting by transit can be very difficult in Rural Clarington as a result of the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, property owners have access to a few bus lines, and it is easy to find a nearby bus stop from most houses. The bike is a rather limited means of transportation in this part of Clarington since there are very few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of slopes. Nonetheless, some bike-friendly sectors can be found. Most houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also not very suitable for those who travel by walking because most daily needs are challenging to carry out without the use of a vehicle.

Everyday essentials

There are only a very small number of high schools in Rural Clarington and thus they can be a very long walk away. Likewise, this part of the municipality does not have any primary schools. In addition, it can be very hard to access daycares as a pedestrian. When it comes to eating, accessing one of about 10 grocery stores by walking is feasible for some, but not all, house buyers in this part of the municipality. There are also approximately 40 restaurants in Rural Clarington.

Surrounding homes

In Rural Clarington, the overwhelming majority of buildings are single detached homes, but duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Around one quarter of properties in this area were built before the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. This part of the municipality is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Nearly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and the remainder are renters.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 43.93799, -78.4885. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
