A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN CONTEXT

Start with how
you spend your day.

Brockton Village has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Most areas in Brockton Village are quiet, as the streets tend to be quite tranquil. There is not that much greenery in this neighbourhood; to be more specific, residents will find that the tree canopy coverage for most streets is sub-par. However, getting to parks in the neighbourhood, such as Dufferin Grove Park, is very easy since there are over 50 of them close by for residents to check out. Finally, there are a large number of things to do in this part of the city to visit. Even though there is a limited selection of entertainment venues, the streets are almost always busy with people, and with its about 20 bars, there are options for nighttime activities.

Brockton Village has a great public transit system as a result of plenty of nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth), and about 20 nearby bus lines. Most houses for sale in this part of Toronto are located in places that are also very conducive to pedestrians; meeting daily needs is very easy without a vehicle, and many businesses of different types can be found as well. Physically active house buyers will welcome the very bicycling-friendly character of Brockton Village. For example, there is always a bike-share station nearby, and this part of the city features reasonably good bicycling infrastructure.

Everyday essentials

It is very often feasible for home buyers in this part of Toronto to shop for general and specialty groceries without a car. Furthermore, those who enjoy dining out won't have to travel far in Brockton Village, where over 150 restaurants and around 30 coffee shops are available. Residents benefit from very many clothing stores within walking distance, for instance on Dundas Street. With respect to education, schools and daycares are very easy to get to by foot from most homes for sale in Brockton Village.

Surrounding homes

In Brockton Village, about half of dwellings are small apartment buildings, and the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings and townhouses. This neighbourhood offers mainly one bedroom and three bedroom homes. The split between renters and homeowners is about even. This neighbourhood experienced its largest construction boom pre-1960, so most of the available housing is from this era.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 43.6502607, -79.4320082. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
