Nicomekl is reasonably quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue, although there are still several noisier sections, especially closer to the railway line. On the other hand, it is very easy to access parks from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood since there are around 30 of them nearby for residents to unwind in. Finally, although this part of the city is not known for its vibrancy, its main streets are still quite dynamic, and places to go out at night are well-spread throughout the area.

People who want to be in a community that's walkable will welcome the reasonably pedestrian-friendly character of Nicomekl; many common errands can be run without needing a vehicle, and a variety of businesses are close by.
