Cummings has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Cummings is quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic, although that is not the case near Regional Road 174 or Highway 417. However, there are over 50 public green spaces nearby for residents to discover, like Ken Steele Park and Eugène Martineau Park, and they are especially well-situated, which makes them very easy to get to. Lastly, even though the atmosphere is not the liveliest in this neighbourhood, its main streets are still quite energetic, and with the nightlife venues in nearby neighbourhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located very close by.

Getting around

This part of the city will draw house buyers that value different modes of transportation. Owing to about 40 nearby bus lines, Cummings features a very good public transit system. Cummings is also suitable for pedestrians; most day-to-day needs are convenient to meet without a car, and a variety of businesses are moderately close at hand. Cummings is moderately suited for bicycling since bike riders do not face serious elevation changes, and the bicycling network is fairly good.

Everyday essentials

The nearest supermarket in Cummings is typically only a very short walk away. Likewise, there is generally a restaurant or cafe in close proximity, for instance along St Laurent Boulevard. It is also a short walk to a very good variety of clothing stores, for example on Donald Street. In terms of education, daycares and schools are straightforward to get to on foot from most homes for sale in Cummings.
