Transportation

The car is usually the preferred method to navigate this part of the city. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from any home in this part of Chilliwack, and it is very easy to come across a parking spot. This neighbourhood is not very suited for cycling because bicycling is rendered strenuous by the typically steep area, and the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed. Many of the houses for sale in this part of Chilliwack are located in areas that are also not very convenient for those who like to get around as pedestrians since almost no common errands can be run without a vehicle.

Services

In vast majority cases, a car is needed in Eastern Hillsides to reach the closest grocery store. Residents of this area are served by a few restaurants as well. As far as education is concerned, there are only a limited number of high schools in this neighbourhood and therefore they can be a rather long trip away. Additionally, this part of Chilliwack does not contain any primary schools. Moreover, families may find it very hard to get to daycares on foot.
