Getting around

This area is very car friendly. Parking is quite easy, and nearby highways are fairly easy to drive to from any location in Midtown. However, commuting by transit can be difficult in Midtown due to the infrequent service. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally very close by. It is at times challenging for people walking to move around in this neighbourhood since few common errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle. On the other hand, Midtown is fairly suited for biking since the cycling network is reasonably good, and there are few slopes to confront bicycle riders.

Everyday essentials

In Midtown, parents and their kids will usually be able to access daycares as pedestrians. In contrast, high schools tend to require a long stroll to get to, and there are no primary schools in Midtown. When it comes to eating, it is convenient to access the closest supermarket without the use of a vehicle in Midtown. Likewise, there is generally a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. It is also a reasonably short stroll to a decent choice of clothing stores.

Local character

Midtown offers a slower-paced environment. Midtown is very good for those who like quiet areas, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic.

Surrounding homes

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing roughly 55% of dwellings in Midtown, but small apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. A majority of the housing growth in this area has occurred after the year 2000. This neighbourhood also has a selection of unit sizes; however this part of the city is especially good for those looking for three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the properties in Midtown whereas the rest are rented.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 51.2840947, -114.0198951. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
