Getting around

Stamford is very car friendly. Parking is quite easy, and most real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 420. However, Stamford is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by approximately 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. Walking in Stamford is not very popular, although many daily needs are easy to carry out without a car. In contrast, it is convenient to get around by bicycle in this area since it is an even ride to most locations.

Parents and their kids will find that no matter where their property is located in Stamford, daycares and schools are close by. At the elementary level, both public and private schools can be found. In terms of food, it is often practical for home buyers in Stamford to shop for their groceries on foot. Portage Road is among the best streets for groceries. Likewise, this neighbourhood is a good place in which to go out to eat, and home buyers benefit from a few cafes as well. It is also convenient to get to a number of clothing stores without a vehicle.
