Getting around
This part of the city is a fairly pleasant part of Nanaimo for pedestrians; many common errands can be run without a car. This area is also reasonably conducive to bicycling since the cycling infrastructure is good. Public transit users may have limited choices in Harewood due to the low service level. Thankfully, there are approximately 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are usually around the corner. In contrast, the favoured way to get around in this part of the city is very often a car. It is convenient to park, and nearby highways are fairly easy to reach from any location in Harewood.
