A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN CONTEXT

Start with how
you spend your day.

People who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere will enjoy Cataraqui North. This part of Kingston is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be especially peaceful - although that is not the case near the railway line or Highway 401. Finally, there are about 20 green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, such as Lions Civic Gardens and Cataraqui Woods Park, and they are very well-located, which makes it easy to reach them.

Getting around

Driving is a very good transportation option in this part of the city. The majority of properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is convenient to park. In contrast, commuting by public transit is difficult in this part of Kingston. Thankfully, there are approximately 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this area, although running day-to-day errands is easy without a car. Travelling by bicycle is also sometimes challenging in this area since there are few bike lanes. Thankfully, bike riders do not encounter significant slopes.

Everyday essentials

In Cataraqui North, families will typically be able to reach primary schools and daycares as pedestrians. On the other hand, there are only a very small number of high schools and accordingly they can be a very long trip away. In terms of food, it is easy to get to the nearest supermarket by foot in Cataraqui North. In addition, there are a fair number of opportunities for those who care about nearby restaurants and cafes.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 44.2693625, -76.5529549. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
