Even though the atmosphere is not the liveliest in this part of Ottawa, its main streets can still be quite dynamic, and with its approximately 20 bars, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located around the corner. Civic Hospital-Central Park is good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as the streets tend to be reasonably tranquil, however noise can be problematic around the railway line, Highway 417 or the airport (Ottawa (Civic Hospital) Heliport). Green spaces, like Commissioners Park and Fletcher Wildlife Gardens, are especially well-distributed and there are over 100 of them close by for residents to check out, which makes it easy to reach them.

Civic Hospital-Central Park will attract house buyers that use a diversity of methods of transportation. This part of Ottawa is very transit friendly. For example, there is the Bayview Station, Carleton Station and Carling Station. Homeowners are served by various rapid transit stations with access to the Pré Tunney.
