A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN CONTEXT

Start with how
you spend your day.

Swansea has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Swansea is reasonably quiet overall, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic, although that is not the case closer to the railway line or F G Gardiner Expressway. However, this area features a large amount of greenery as the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is very good. A large number of locations within the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to green spaces, like High Park and South Humber Park, since there are about 40 of them close by for residents to relax in. Finally, although the ambience is not the liveliest in this area, its main streets are still quite lively, and with its a few bars, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located very close by.

Getting around

Regardless of the medium of transportation, it is convenient to travel in Swansea. The very good public transit infrastructure makes transit a viable option for many by reason of plenty of nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth), and about 20 nearby bus lines. It is also easy for pedestrians to navigate Swansea; meeting daily needs is convenient without a vehicle, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Swansea is rather conducive to cycling.

Everyday essentials

Schools and daycares are straightforward to access without the need to get in a vehicle from anywhere in Swansea. When it comes to food, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a rather short distance away in Swansea. Likewise, there is usually a restaurant or cafe in close proximity. It is also straightforward to get to a number of clothing stores without a vehicle.

Surrounding homes

In Swansea, roughly 45% of dwellings are large apartment buildings, and the rest of the homes are mainly small apartment buildings and single detached homes. This part of Toronto has a good choice of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Around two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and one third are renters. This area did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new homes in the neighbourhood was spread throughout multiple decades in the twentieth and twenty-first century.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 43.6385131, -79.472807. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
