A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN CONTEXT

Start with how
you spend your day.

Deer Park offers a variety of experiences for home buyers who enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and spending time in green spaces. There are many dynamic parts in this neighbourhood for those looking for a dynamic vibe. Even though a limited selection of entertainment venues can be found nearby, the streets are usually busy with people, and it is very easy to find places to go out at night because they are well-distributed throughout the area. This area also features a large amount of greenery; there are over 50 public green spaces close by for residents to relax in, including Kay Gardner Beltline Park and David A. Balfour Park, and they are very well-spread out, making them very easy to get to. Furthermore, residents will find that the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is very good.

Getting around

Deer Park does not require driving because various other modes of transportation are at the disposal of home buyers. It is especially convenient for people travelling by foot to get around in Deer Park; all common errands can be run without needing to use a car, and a large number of businesses of different types can be found as well. This area will also appeal to physically active home buyers since it is suitable for bicycling. More precisely, bike-share stations are hardly ever more than a few blocks away. Thanks to various nearby rapid transit stations on the Line 1 (Yonge-University), and approximately 20 nearby bus lines, the public transit system in Deer Park is very good. However, driving is a somewhat poor means of transportation in this part of the city since it is a very long car ride to the nearest highway from anywhere in Deer Park, and it is difficult to come across a place to park.

Everyday essentials

Families will find that wherever their property is situated in this neighbourhood, schools and daycares are close by. Concerning food, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a very short stroll away in Deer Park. St Clair Avenue is among the best streets for groceries. Moreover, thanks to over 50 restaurants and approximately 10 coffee shops, this area is an excellent place in which to eat out, for example on Yonge Street. It is also very convenient to access a number of clothing stores without the use of a car.

Surrounding homes

In Deer Park, the majority of dwellings are large apartment buildings, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Roughly 45% of properties in this neighbourhood were built pre-1960, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 2000s. This part of the city is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes. Roughly two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood rent their home whereas the remainder are owners.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 43.6867341, -79.3937883. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
