A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN CONTEXT

Start with how
you spend your day.

Mineola is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm ambience. This part of the city is very quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic near Queen Elizabeth Way or the railway line. Finally, green spaces, such as Dellwood Park and J.C. Saddington Park, are very well-distributed and there are about 40 of them nearby for residents to discover, which results in them being easy to access from the majority of locations in Mineola.

Getting around

Mineola is an extraordinarily good part of Mississauga for travelling by car. Nearby highways, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, are fairly easy to drive to from anywhere in Mineola, and it is very convenient to park. However, travelling by transit can be challenging in this part of the city as a result of the infrequent service. Thankfully, there is the Port Credit on the Lakeshore West. Residents benefit from a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most homes. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this neighbourhood, even though many daily errands can be run without a vehicle. However, Mineola is rather bike-friendly.

Everyday essentials

The closest grocery store in this part of the city is generally only a rather short walk away. Furthermore, there are a fair number of options for those who appreciate nearby restaurants and cafes. With regards to education, it is a short walk to access schools and daycares from anywhere in Mineola.

Local character

Surrounding homes

The sizeable proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of Mineola is an important part of its character. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 90% of the dwellings in Mineola and 10% are rented. The homes in this area are quite old, since roughly 40% of its dwellings were constructed prior to the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 2000s.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

Compare neighbourhood context across Mississauga ↗ · Explore Mississauga new-home projects ↗

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 43.555525, -79.5886952. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
