A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN CONTEXT

Start with how
you spend your day.

No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, Wychwood is a reasonably good option. Wychwood is fairly good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic, although that is not the case closer to the railway line. Greenery is reasonably prominent in this part of the city as numerous tree-lined streets are present. It is very easy to reach parks in the neighbourhood since there are over 50 of them close by for residents to discover. Lastly, it is easy to find vibrant areas in this part of Toronto. Despite the fact that there is a limited selection of entertainment venues, there are usually a very large number of people around, and places to go out at night are well-distributed throughout the area.

Getting around

Wychwood is an excellent part of Toronto with respect to getting around without a car. Owing to a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations on the Line 1 (Yonge-University) and Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth), and about 10 nearby bus lines, the very good transit infrastructure makes transit a viable option for many. Walking is also particularly convenient for home buyers in Wychwood; running common errands is very easy without a vehicle, and a variety of businesses are rather close by. Wychwood is a fairly pleasant part of Toronto for bike riders. More precisely, bike-share stations are rarely more than a few blocks away.

Everyday essentials

Home buyers in Wychwood will welcome that a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a very short walk away. Furthermore, thanks to 100-odd restaurants and cafes in this neighbourhood, there is almost always a place to get some food or drink just around the corner. Residents have access to very many nearby clothing stores, for example along St Clair Avenue. As far as education is concerned, in Wychwood, parents and their children will generally be able to reach daycares and schools without a car.

Surrounding homes

In Wychwood, about one third of dwellings are small apartment buildings, while large apartment buildings, single detached homes, and townhouses are the main alternatives in the housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood took place prior to the 1960s. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and one bedroom homes. A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 43.6791202, -79.42420709999999. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
