A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN CONTEXT

Start with how
you spend your day.

Doncrest is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. This part of Richmond Hill is very quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, it is easy to get to public green spaces from most locations in the neighbourhood since there are about 30 of them close by for residents to unwind in.

Getting around

Commuting by bicycle is convenient in Doncrest. Doncrest is also suitable for those who prefer to get around on foot; running common errands is easy without a car. Driving is a very good medium of transportation in Doncrest. Most properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 407, and it is convenient to park. In contrast, getting around by public transit is at times difficult in Doncrest. Thankfully, rapid transit stations, including Highway 7 / Chalmers Rd, Hwy 7 / West Beaver Creek and Hwy 7 / Bayview on the Viva Purple, are not particularly far away from most residences in the neighbourhood. Property owners are served by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily very close by.

Everyday essentials

A supermarket is typically accessible within a reasonably short walk from any home in Doncrest. Additionally, there are a fair number of options for those who care about nearby restaurants and cafes. As far as education is concerned, it is a very short trip to access daycares and primary schools from anywhere in Doncrest. On the other hand, parents may consider it difficult for their children to reach high schools by foot.

Surrounding homes

In Doncrest, most dwellings are single detached homes, and the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings. This neighbourhood offers mainly one bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the properties in Doncrest and renters occupy the remainder. The homes in this area are quite new, because around 45% of its dwellings were constructed in the 1980s, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1990s and the 2000s.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you
call it home.

What do the location scores measure?

Local Logic supplies individual access and character scores on a 0–5 scale for the recorded coordinates. Consider each measure separately; we do not calculate an overall livability rating.

Are the distances walking times?

No. Distances are straight-line measurements from the project reference. Open directions to check a walking, cycling, transit or driving route.

Does a nearby school guarantee admission?

No. Confirm attendance boundaries, programs, capacity and registration requirements with the relevant school board.

Do the demographic figures describe future residents?

No. They describe the existing population in the provider’s surrounding study area. They do not predict the buyers or future residents of this project.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY

A guide with a clear point of reference.

Prepared by Team Arora. Scores, neighbourhood descriptions, school records, places and demographic information are supplied by Local Logic. Requests are cached for up to 24 hours; underlying source periods may be older. Provider neighbourhood labels may differ from builder descriptions. Missing data remains unavailable.

Recorded coordinates: 43.8487385, -79.4080525. Amenity queries use a 2.5 km radius; school results retain the provider’s school-search coverage. Distances use the returned straight-line measurement, or are calculated directly between coordinates when absent. The project page includes the existing map; Google provides the linked directions. Verify current place details, boundaries and routes before making a decision.
