Although the atmosphere is not the liveliest in this neighbourhood, the vibe is still quite energetic around its main streets, and with its a few bars, there are options for nighttime activities. Silverthorn is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. There is a fair amount of greenery in this area; most locations within the neighbourhood have good access to green spaces, such as Coronation Park and Earlscourt Park, since there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to relax in. Residents will also find that most streets have reasonably good tree coverage.

No matter the medium of transportation, it is rather convenient to move around in Silverthorn. Walking is very practical for house buyers in Silverthorn; many day-to-day needs can be carried out without a car, and various businesses are reasonably close at hand.
