In June 2017, Montcrest Asset Management (formerly known as NYX Capital Corp.) assembled 4.6 acres of residential and commercial land located at 51 & 57 Tannery Street and 208 Emby Drive, Mississauga. Montcrest worked to rezone the property for 147 townhomes. However, since the Region of Peel has designated the property as a future Major Transit Station Area, further value can be created by rezoning the site to allow residential buildings. The new proposal is to construct two 15-storey mid-ride residential buildings with a gross construction area of approximately 588,000 square feet on the subject site. The property is in the heart of Streetsville and is only 400 metres away from the Streetsville Go Station. The location presents a rare opportunity to create a modern residential, transit-oriented community within a neighbourhood known for its walkability, natural heritage, and small-town charm. This project is fully funded and not available for participation. Source: Montcrest

Transportation
Streetsville is reasonably suited for biking. Streetsville is also fairly conducive to those who prefer to travel as pedestrians; most daily needs are convenient to carry out without the use of a vehicle. Cars are a very good means of transportation in this part of the city. Accessing a parking spot is generally easy. On the other hand, this area is not especially transit friendly. Thankfully, there is the Streetsville on the Milton. The neighbourhood is linked by about 20 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is typically around the corner.
Services
Parents and their schoolchildren will find that no matter where their property is located in Streetsville, schools and daycares are nearby. In terms of eating, it is frequently practical for house buyers in Streetsville to buy groceries without needing to get in a vehicle. Furthermore, there is typically a restaurant or cafe just around the corner.
Character
Streetsville offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. This part of Mississauga is reasonably quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case near the railway line. Finally, green spaces, such as Lake Wabukayne Park and Streetsville Memorial Park, are very well-spread out and there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to unwind in, which makes them very easy to access.
Housing
In Streetsville, about 45% of dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest are mainly large apartment buildings. This part of Mississauga is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly 70% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the rest are rented. This part of the city did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new homes in Streetsville was spread throughout several decades in recent history.
