Getting around

This part of the city is particularly car friendly. Most real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway, and it is very easy to park. However, Decoteau is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally around the corner. Bicycling is easy in this part of the city as Decoteau features reasonably good bicycling infrastructure, and cyclists do not face significant hills. Many of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are not particularly suitable for people who like to travel by foot because meeting daily needs is occasionally difficult without the use of a car.

Everyday essentials

It is a reasonably short stroll to reach schools and daycares from most properties for sale in this neighbourhood. In terms of eating, a portion of house buyers in Decoteau may have the option to do their grocery shopping as pedestrians, while others will have to turn to another means of transportation. A small number of restaurants can be found in this part of Edmonton as well.

Local character

Decoteau is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. This part of Edmonton is quiet overall, as the streets tend to be tranquil. Lastly, there are about 10 public green spaces nearby for residents to explore, like Ivor Dent Sports Park, making it very easy to access them.
