Getting around
Driving is an excellent mode of transportation in Garner. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway, such as Highway 403, from any location in this part of Hamilton, and parking is easy. In contrast, travelling by public transit is very difficult in Garner. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are commonly close by. Garner is not very well-suited for people who travel on foot since running common errands is inconvenient without a vehicle. Despite the fact that cycling is more feasible in some areas than others, it is also sometimes difficult to commute by bicycle in this part of the city because there are a good number of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is fairly poor.
