Getting around
Driving is a fairly good mode of transportation in Cornell. Most real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 407, and it is easy to come across a parking spot. However, this part of the city is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the nearest rapid transit station, including Hwy 7 / Wootten, Cornell Bus Terminal Platform 8 and Markham Stouffville Hospital with access to the Viva Purple, is ordinarily within walking distance from most residences in the neighbourhood. House owners are served by about 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. Cornell is bike-friendly as the cycling infrastructure is very good. Most homes for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are not particularly conducive to pedestrians as few daily needs can be met without the need to get in a vehicle.
