Getting around
Cumberland is an extremely good part of Ottawa for travelling by car. It is very easy to come across a place to park. In contrast, public transit riders may experience few options in Cumberland by reason of the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, there are about 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are usually around the corner. Cumberland is not very well-suited for pedestrians since running common errands is very inconvenient without a vehicle. Moving around by bicycle is also challenging in this part of Ottawa because the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and there are a fair number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave.
