Willingdon Heights allows house buyers to get around by various methods of transportation. Travelling by public transit is easy in this neighbourhood due to a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations on the Millennium Line, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines. Willingdon Heights is also conducive to those who like to get around on foot; many daily needs can be met without a car, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. This part of Burnaby is moderately suited for cycling since the bicycling infrastructure is fairly comprehensive.

Everyday essentials

The closest supermarket in this part of the city is typically only a short distance away. Likewise, there are over 50 restaurants and approximately 10 cafes to benefit from in Willingdon Heights. Willingdon Heights is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this part of Burnaby. Although the atmosphere is not the most lively in this area, its busier streets can still be quite energetic, and with the bars in nearby neighbourhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located very close by. Willingdon Heights is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very tranquil. Public green spaces, such as Rupert Park and Confederation Park, are especially well-spread out and there are around 20 of them close by for residents to check out, making them very easy to reach from the majority of locations within Willingdon Heights.
