Driving is usually the preferred method to move around in McKinley. It is especially convenient to park. In contrast, McKinley is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the sector, and the nearest bus stop is usually around the corner. Traveling as a pedestrian is not very practical for residents in this area as running common errands is inconvenient without the use of a vehicle. In contrast, cycling is convenient in McKinley.

There are only a very small number of high schools in this area and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. Furthermore, McKinley does not have any primary schools. Moreover, daycares are not numerous and therefore not always within a short distance. With regards to eating, in all but a few cases, a car is needed to do groceries.
