What is Legacy Village? The Legacy Village project will be a new mixed residential development in London, Ontario, Canada. The project will preserve the historic buildings and green spaces, as well as create new housing and commercial developments that reflect the City’s growth and heritage. What Legacy Village Offers Residents Legacy Village is envisioned as a vibrant new home for more than 10,000 Londoners seeking a green and enjoyable way of life. This development is still in its planning stages but it's already gaining recognition for its unique design and amenities. The location will have communal gardens, walking trails and paths, acres of park land and long winding roads. We are also delighted to share that the Humane Society London & Middlesex now has a new home at Legacy Village: The Old Oak Animal Campus is an awe-inspiring haven for current and future pet owners. It provides a wide range of services, such as training classes, a pet cafe and even a low-cost medical centre! It's amazing how much care and support this facility provides for our beloved animals. THE NEIGHBOURHOOD · Argyle

Life around Legacy Village.

Explore the setting, everyday essentials and surrounding community before choosing your next home.

Part of the Greater London metropolitan area, Argyle is a neighbourhood within London, Ontario.

Provider geography: Argyle (neighbourhood) · London (city) · N5W (postal code) · Middlesex County (county) · Greater London (metropolitan area)

A SENSE OF PLACE

The neighbourhood, in perspective.

Getting around

The favoured method to navigate Argyle is often driving. Parking is easy. However, the transit system in Argyle is rather poor. Thankfully, property owners are served by about 10 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually around the corner. This neighbourhood is rather bicycling-friendly as this area has good bicycling infrastructure, and cyclists do not face serious slopes. Most houses for sale in this part of London are located in areas that are not especially conducive to those who like to get around on foot as few common errands can be run without a vehicle.

Everyday essentials

Families will find that wherever their home is located in Argyle, daycares and primary schools are close by. On the other hand, parents and their kids may consider it challenging to get to high schools by foot. Concerning food, a grocery store is usually reachable within a rather short trip from anywhere in Argyle. In addition, those who like to eat in restaurants will have a good number of choices, for example along Dundas Street, and a limited variety of coffee shops is available as well.

Local character

Home buyers who prefer a slower-paced ambience will enjoy Argyle. Most areas in this part of the city are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, it is easy to access parks in the neighbourhood since there are around 40 of them close by for residents to enjoy.

Surrounding homes

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing most dwellings in Argyle, while small apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock. This area is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly two thirds of the dwellings in the neighbourhood and the remainder are rented. Roughly one third of homes in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
