Transportation
Southwest Mission is a very good part of Kelowna for getting around by car. It is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. On the other hand, the transit infrastructure in this area is not very convenient. Nonetheless, the sector is connected by a few bus lines, and it is very easy to find a nearby bus stop from most houses. Bicycling is sometimes difficult in this area as riding is made strenuous by the typically sloping terrain. Nonetheless, the cycling network is good. This part of the city is also not very convenient for those who get around as pedestrians since most daily needs are challenging to carry out without a car.
Services
Property owners in Southwest Mission will welcome that a grocery store is always only a rather long stroll away. There are also a few opportunities for those who value nearby restaurants. As far as education is concerned, in Southwest Mission, parents and their children will generally be able to reach daycares and primary schools as pedestrians. In contrast, high schools are not plentiful and therefore tend to require a very long trip to get to.
Character
The character of Southwest Mission is exemplified by its calm ambience. There are around 40 parks nearby for residents to check out, including Powerline Park and Woodhaven Nature Conservancy Regional Park, making it very easy to get to them from most locations in the sector. This part of Kelowna is also great for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as the streets tend to be very peaceful.
