Owing to various nearby rapid transit stations on the Viva Blue, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines, the transit network in Observatory is rather convenient. Observatory is also a fairly pleasant part of Richmond Hill for pedestrians; running common errands is convenient without a vehicle. It is easy to get around by bike in Observatory.

A supermarket is generally accessible within a short distance from any location in this part of Richmond Hill. Additionally, there is usually a restaurant or cafe in close proximity. A very good variety of clothing stores is also situated within a short walking distance.
