It is sometimes challenging to commute by bicycle in this part of the city as there are a fair number of hills, and the bicycling network is rather poor. Many of the houses for sale in this part of St. John's are located in areas that are also not very conducive to pedestrians as very few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.
