Transportation

This area is very car friendly. The majority of properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, and parking is generally easy. In contrast, the transit network in Hermitage is rather poor. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Traveling on foot is not very popular in Hermitage, despite the fact that many daily needs can be met without a car. It is also at times difficult to move around by bike in this part of Ajax because there are a fair number of hills, and Hermitage has sometimes poor cycling infrastructure.

Services

In Hermitage, families will almost always be able to get to primary schools and daycares by walking. However, there are only a few high schools and thus they can be an extended distance away. Concerning food, it is occasionally practical for house buyers in Hermitage to purchase groceries by foot. In addition, this part of Ajax is a fairly good place in which to eat out, and residents benefit from a few cafes as well.

Hermitage is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. Hermitage is very quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Although the ambience is not the most lively in this area, the vibe is still quite dynamic around its main streets. It is very difficult to access parks in the neighbourhood since they aren't well-spread out. Still, there are approximately 20 public green spaces nearby for residents to check out.
