Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in Whatcom. It is very convenient to park, and nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are rather easy to reach from anywhere in this part of the city. However, the public transit service in Whatcom is not very frequent. Nonetheless, house owners benefit from a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually around the corner. Whatcom is not particularly appropriate for cycling because there are few bike lanes, and cyclists encounter quite a few elevation changes. Whatcom is also not very suitable for people who get around as pedestrians as most daily needs are occasionally difficult to meet without the need to use a vehicle.

Services

Schools and daycares are easy to get to without needing a car from most properties for sale in Whatcom. With regards to food, house buyers in this part of the city will be pleased to learn that a grocery store is always only a reasonably short walk away.
