Transportation

Avondale permits home buyers to move around by several alternative methods of transportation. Most homes for sale in this part of Toronto are located in places that are rather suitable for pedestrians; many day-to-day needs are convenient to meet without a car, and various businesses are reasonably close at hand. Avondale is also reasonably bicycling-friendly. This neighbourhood is very transit friendly due to plenty of nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Line 1 (Yonge-University) and Line 4 (Sheppard), and about 10 nearby bus lines. Avondale is also a fairly convenient part of Toronto for moving around by car. Most homes for sale are a very short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 401.

It is a very short walk to get to daycares and schools from any location in Avondale.
