Transportation

Most homes for sale in this part of Maple Ridge are located in places that are suitable for those who travel by foot; running common errands is easy without a car, and there are also a fair number of businesses close by. On the other hand, commuting by bicycle is occasionally difficult in Town Centre as the bicycling network is not particularly well-developed, and cyclists are faced with a significant amount of hills. Travelling by car is easy in Town Centre. It is easy to come across a place to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a rather short drive from the closest highway. However, the public transit service in Town Centre is not particularly frequent. Nonetheless, the nearest train station, such as the Port Haney Station Westbound and Port Haney Station Eastbound on the West Coast Express, is ordinarily within walking distance from the greater part of houses in the neighbourhood. There are around 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most residences.

Services

It is especially convenient to access the nearest grocery store as a pedestrian in Town Centre. Additionally, there are a good number of opportunities in close proximity for those who care about restaurants and cafes. It is also a rather short walk to a good choice of clothing stores. In terms of education, daycares and schools are straightforward to access on foot from any location in this area.

Character

Town Centre is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the ambience of this neighbourhood. Even though the atmosphere is not the liveliest in this neighbourhood, its main streets can still be quite dynamic, and finding one of the a few bars is very easy since they are generally situated in very convenient locations. The noise levels in Town Centre are low, as the streets are generally quite tranquil, although that is not the case closer to the railway line. There are approximately 20 public green spaces close by for residents to discover, including Merkley Park and Telosky Stadium Park, and they are especially well-spread out, which makes it easy to reach them from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood.
