Arbutus is a fairly good neighbourhood for environmentally friendly transportation options. Arbutus is reasonably convenient for those who travel by foot; many day-to-day needs can be met by walking, and numerous businesses are quite nearby. A good number of people in the area use their bike as the cycling network is quite extensive. With a few nearby bus lines, the public transit system in this area is accessible. In contrast, Arbutus is not particularly car friendly since it is sometimes difficult to access a place to park.

Services

In this neighbourhood, families will usually be able to reach daycares and schools by walking. At the secondary level, there are both public and private schools. With regards to food, it is easy to access both a general and a specialty grocery store on foot from anywhere in Arbutus. Furthermore, this area is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe.
