People who want to reside in a compact community will be pleased with the pedestrian-friendly character of Merritton; many daily needs can be carried out without the use of a car. The bike is a fairly good means of transportation in this neighbourhood. The transit system in Merritton is sometimes poor. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by about 30 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. In contrast, the car is very often the preferred transportation option in Merritton. It is very easy to park, and many real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 406.

Services

It is generally an option for property owners in this neighbourhood to shop for their groceries without a car. Moreover, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of opportunities, and there are also a few cafes in this part of the city. Residents benefit from a good number of clothing stores within walking distance. Regarding education, families will welcome that wherever their house is located in Merritton, daycares and schools are nearby.
