Getting around

People who want to be in a community that's walkable will welcome the reasonably pedestrian-friendly character of Nicomekl; many common errands can be run without needing a vehicle, and a variety of businesses are close by. It is also convenient to move around by bicycle in Nicomekl because the bicycling network is moderately comprehensive. Driving is a reasonably good transportation option in this part of City of Langley. It is convenient to come across a parking spot. On the other hand, the public transit network in Nicomekl is somewhat poor. Nevertheless, there are about 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is typically around the corner.

Everyday essentials

Schools and daycares are easy to reach without a car from most homes for sale in Nicomekl. With respect to eating, it is usually possible for property owners in this area to purchase general and specialty groceries by walking. Moreover, this part of City of Langley is a good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe. Residents can find numerous clothing stores within walking distance.

Nicomekl is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the ambience of this neighbourhood. Nicomekl is reasonably quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue, although there are still several noisier sections, especially closer to the railway line. On the other hand, it is very easy to access parks from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood since there are around 30 of them nearby for residents to unwind in. Finally, although this part of the city is not known for its vibrancy, its main streets are still quite dynamic, and places to go out at night are well-spread throughout the area.
