Transportation

Martindale is particularly car friendly. It is straightforward to come across a place to park, and it is a short drive to the closest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, from any location in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, Martindale is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are about 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is usually around the corner. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this part of St. Catharines, even though most daily needs are convenient to carry out without the use of a vehicle. In contrast, the bike is a reasonably good mode of transportation in Martindale because there are a limited number of hills for cyclists to brave.

Services

Primary schools and daycares are very easy to access on foot from most houses for sale in Martindale. However, high schools are not plentiful and consequently not always within walking distance. As far as eating is concerned, the nearest supermarket in this area is usually only a long trip away.
